RephiTEKT prefiltration system is a pretreatment pack to remove harmful impurities in tap/feed water. RephiTEKT combines microporous depth filter, activated carbon and anti-scaling reagent in one housing for easy and robust removal of particles, organics, chlorine and providing anti-scaling protection to the downstream water system. 

Microporous depth filters provide a physical barrier to the passage of particles so to prevent large suspended particles, colloids and larger color causing organics in feed water from reaching into the system.

Activated carbon contains numerous tiny pores and a large active surface area of about 1000 square meters per gram. It can remove chlorine residues, chloramine, most residual oxides and organic molecules by adsorption and chemical reactions, so they prevent contaminates from attacking RO membranes, damaging membrane filters as well as ion exchange resins. 

The anti-scaling compoundused in a RephiTEKT pack prevents development of large CaCO₃ or MgCO₃ crystals by disturbing their growth, thereby protecting RO membranes and other components in lab water systems from scaling and attack by hard salt precipitates.
