RephiLe water systems with TOC monitoring

In the laboratory pure water industry, high-end pure water systems often come equipped with TOC (Total Organic Carbon) detection to monitor and control organic contamination levels and ensure that the quality of the pure water meets relevant standards. The most common TOC detection technology used in these systems is ultraviolet (UV) oxidation. Currently, two primary methods are employed for TOC detection: complete oxidation and partial oxidation.

Partial Oxidation TOC Detection: A Viable Option with Limitations

Pure water systems that utilize partial oxidation for TOC measurement offer a viable option for certain applications. This method provides a general indication of organic contamination levels. However, it’s important to acknowledge that partial oxidation may not fully convert all organic compounds into carbon dioxide, the target analyte for TOC detection. Consequently, partial oxidation TOC detection results may not provide a complete picture of organic contamination levels.

For users with high water purity requirements, such as those adhering to USP standards, it is strongly recommended that they opt for pure water systems featuring TOC detection modules designed with complete oxidation technology.

RephiLe’s pure water TOC detection technology employs a complete oxidation approach, ensuring full compliance with USP requirements. This method ensures that all organic compounds are completely converted into carbon dioxide, providing accurate and reliable TOC monitoring.

Key Advantages of Complete Oxidation TOC Detection:

  • Enhanced Accuracy: Complete oxidation ensures the accurate detection of all organic compounds, meeting the stringent standards of the USP.
  • USP Compliance: Complete oxidation TOC detection technology guarantees compliance with USP regulations, making it the ideal choice for pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications.
  • Reliable Performance: The robust and reliable nature of complete oxidation TOC detection provides consistent and dependable results, minimizing the risk of inaccurate measurements.

RephiLe ultrapure water systems, featuring complete oxidation TOC detection, are designed to meet the critical requirements of various industries, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and healthcare.
