Description
Genie G Ultrapure & EDI Laboratory Water Purification System
The Genie G ultrapure & EDI laboratory water purification system produces ultrapure water (Type I) and EDI water (Type II) directly from tap water. This System offers solutions for research professionals who work with a variety of applications utilizing Type I ultrapure and Type II EDI pure water in the lab. The Quality of both ultrapure water and EDI water meets or exceeds ASTM, CLSI, CAP, and ISO Type I and Type II water standards, respectively.
The Genie G Ultrapure & EDI Water System is CE/RoHS certified. RephiLe provides full documentation to support users’ GMP, GSP, GAP, GCP, and GLP requirements.

Features:
Designs & Technologies
- The system can connect with multiple dispensers via CAN cable or wireless, in a “1+N” Mode.
- Achieve exceptionally consistent and predictable high-purity Type II water with advanced EDI water purification technology.
- Consistent reverse osmosis (RO) permeability across a broad range of ambient temperatures due to a temperature feedback design
- The system automatically diverts off-spec RO product water to the drain. It features a recovery loop to improve pure water yield and meet environmental protection requirements.
- A fully automated system simplifies maintenance and ensures water quality through built-in RO rinsing, cleaning, fouling prevention flush, and programmed chlorine and pH cleaning.
- An environmentally friendly, mercury-free, in-line germicidal UV lamp is installed on the system for bacteria elimination.
- An incorporated leak protector prevents damage from water leakage by shutting off the feed water in case of unexpected leaks.
- A water tank circulation upgrade kit is available as an option. This tank recirculation loop effectively maintains water quality within the tank to meet requirements.
- The main system is ideal for wall-mounting, shelf placement or under-sink installation.
Effective TOC level control
- A 185/254 nm dual-wavelength UV lamp reduces TOC level in ultrapure water.
- The water tank is standardly equipped with a sanitization module with a mercury-free UV lamp, which effectively controls microbial growth.
- An Online TOC monitor, operating on the principle of complete oxidation for TOC monitoring in purified water, ensures the reliability required for critical applications.
Easy Operation and Maintenance
- RFID technology facilitates comprehensive monitoring of consumables and accessories’ operational status, delivers real-time performance feedback, and ensures reliable traceability of historical data for operations, maintenance activities, alarms and alert notifications.
- RFID tags prevent the misplacement of cartridge installations, thereby maintaining system integrity. They also record consumable usage and lifespan. This data-drive approach enables a smart replacement plan, minimizing waste and lowering operational costs.
- The control console, an 8-inch color touchscreen, enables the configuration and monitoring of all components and peripheral devices within the water system, and intuitively displays water quality parameters and the operational status of the entire system.
- A reassuring volumetric dispensing function with adjustable dispensing volumes ranging from 10 mL to 999 L.
- Signature verification for maintenance and service.
Cartridges and Parts
1. EDI module
- The internal EDI module effectively removes the residual ions, further reduces the organic compound content, and and provides microbial control by inhibiting bacterial growth in RO-treated water.
- Ion exchange resins undergo continuous regeneration by an applied electric field, eliminating the need for hazardous chemical regeneration and periodic resin replacement.
- EDI module achieves a high degree of automation and low electricity consumption.
2. Cartridge
- The built-in P Pack cartridge removes oxidants, organic substances, particles and scaling ions, preventing them from fouling the RO membranes and EDI module.
- The AC Pack contains RephiAC activated carbon for the removal of organic impurities and free chlorine.
- The ultra-purification cartridge is filled with LeFilTM and OrganeFilTM media to remove trace ions and organic compounds.
- Multiple models of ultrapure purification cartridge are available to precisely meet the diverse needs of different users. These include conventional general-purpose types, low-TOC types for TOC-sensitive experiments, low-boron types for elemental analysis, low-magnesium types for NGS high-throughput sequencing, ICP types for ICP-MS sub-ppt level analysis, and deep filtration types.
3. Control console
- The independent control console can be freely combined and placed with the system or dispenser, saving space. This allows users to view information at their preferred angle and height for a comfortable, unrestricted, and convenient experience.
- Both the console screen and dispenser screens are water-drop proof and can be operated with latex gloves or wet hands.
- The display menu has two-level password protection for safety purposes.
4. Dispenser
- The 2.4-inch touchscreen allows for easy setup of volumetric water dispensing, automatically delivering the required water volume, and remembers settings via its memory function.
- The flow rate control button on the touchscreen of a control console or a dispenser allows adjustment of the water dispensing speed, up to 2 liters per minute.
- The anti-slip base, height-adjustable dispernser arm, and 360° rotation ensure stability and versatility, accommodating all laboratory apparatus.
5. Final Filter
- A wide range of final filters (optional) is applicable to ensure ultrapure water without particles, bacteria or pyrogen.
6. Level sensor
- The integrated continuous level sensor measures the water level within the tank and automatically manages the system to start or stop water production based on requirements.
- Water level and quality in the tank are viewable from the control console.
